While rebuilding this Kamado Joe Classic 2, the top Kontrol Tower Top vent fell to the ground, and shattered — breaking the internal screw and exposing a problem many owners deal with: flaking vent paint.  You can repair a broken cap easier than you think as well as removing any risk of paint flakes in your food, BUT all of these repairs and new parts are eating into my savings vs. new so we will update our math to see if buying a used Kamado actually saves you any money?
